Summary: Devolve powers and duties of State Supt. of Education to the Governor
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 59-3-25 SO AS TO DEVOLVE THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF EDUCATION UPON THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR; TO PROVIDE THAT FUNDS APPROPRIATED TO THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF EDUCATION MUST BE APPROPRIATED TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR; AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE COMPENSATION OF THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF EDUCATION IS NOT DIMINISHED AS LONG AS THE OFFICE EXISTS.
