Summary: Health insurance benefits may be provided only to eligible employees of public or private entities and their immediate family
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 38-61-60 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PUBLIC OR PRIVATE BODY, ENTITY, OR INSTITUTION THAT PROVIDES HEALTH INSURANCE OR OTHER INSURANCE BENEFITS UNDER A GROUP POLICY TO PERSONS WHO ARE NOT THE SPOUSE, DEPENDENT, OR RELATION OF AN INSURED EMPLOYEE MAY NOT RECEIVE ANY TYPE OF STATE FUNDING INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, APPROPRIATIONS, AID TO SUBDIVISIONS OR GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
