Summary: Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 1-23-139 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A REGULATION PROMULGATED ON OR AFTER JULY 1, 2014, BY A STATE AGENCY OR DEPARTMENT UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES ACT EXPIRES FIVE YEARS FROM THE DATE ON WHICH IT BECOMES EFFECTIVE; AND TO AMEND SECTION 1-23-120, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO APPROVAL OF REGULATIONS INCLUDING THE REQUIREMENT OF STATE AGENCIES TO REVIEW EVERY FIVE YEARS REGULATIONS IT HAS PROMULGATED, OR FOR WHICH IT HAS ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THIS PROVISION DOES NOT APPLY TO REGULATIONS PROMULGATED BY AN AGENCY OR DEPARTMENT WHICH EXPIRE FIVE YEARS AFTER THEY TAKE EFFECT AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 1-23-139.
