A Bill to amend Section 14-7-860, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the excusing of jurors from jury duty for good cause, so as to provide that no person who is employed actively as a classroom teacher or a college, university, or technical school student taking twelve credit hours or a high school student taking at least four credit hours may serve as a juror during the school year and to provide procedures for the excusing of these persons by the court.
