    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 1-3-240 OF THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE REMOVAL OF OFFICERS BY THE GOVERNOR, SO AS TO DELETE THE PROVISION AUTHORIZING THE GOVERNOR TO REMOVE, AT HIS DISCRETION, CERTAIN OFFICERS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR TO A STATE OFFICE AND TO DELETE THE PROVISION AUTHORIZING THE GOVERNOR TO REMOVE CERTAIN OFFICERS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR FOR CERTAIN STATED CAUSES ONLY; AND TO AMEND SECTION 1-3-250, RELATING TO THE APPEAL BY AN OFFICER REMOVED BY THE GOVERNOR, SO AS TO DELETE THE EXEMPTION FROM THE APPEAL RIGHT PROVIDED TO OFFICERS REMOVED FROM OFFICE BY THE GOVERNOR AT HIS DISCRETION.
