A Bill to amend Section 9-1-1140, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to establishing prior service credit for purposes of the South Carolina Retirement System, so as to allow a member who leaves covered employment to go on active duty in the armed forces of the United States and who, before returning to covered employment, attends undergraduate school to receive credit for up to two years of such education in the same manner provided by law for obtaining credit for other graduate or undergraduate education.
