    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE NEW BRIDGE SPANNING THE BROAD RIVER IN BEAUFORT COUNTY PRESENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION THE "COURSEN-TATE CROSSING" IN MEMORY OF SHERIFF DEPUTIES DYKE "A.J." COURSEN AND DANA TATE WHO WERE KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY ON JANUARY 8, 2002, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO RENDER AID TO CITIZENS, AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ON THE BRIDGE CONTAINING THE WORDS "COURSEN-TATE CROSSING" IN MEMORY OF DEPUTIES COURSEN'S AND TATE'S DEDICATION, LOVE, AND SERVICE TO THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND BEAUFORT COUNTY.
