A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE DR. J. J. MALNATI OF
NEWBERRY FOR HIS INDUCTION INTO THE SOUTH CAROLINA
DAIRY HALL OF FAME.
Whereas, Dr J. J. Malnati of Newberry has established himself as an
accomplished breeder of outstanding Jersey cattle for many years; and
Whereas, he is the only person in modern history to be elected to the
American Jersey Cattle Club board on four occasions; and
Whereas, Dr. Malnati is a respected Jersey judge and an outstanding
breeder of top animals; and
Whereas, his Jerseys have performed well in the show ring for many
years, earning him the title of Premier Breeder or Premier Exhibitor
awards in two different regions of the country and five different state or
regional events; and
Whereas, in 1990, Dr. Malnati received the prestigious South Carolina
P. D. C. A. Master Breeder award at the Seventeenth Annual Clemson
University Dairy Conference; and
Whereas, he was the worthy recipient of the 1992 South Carolina Jersey
Cattle Club Honors award and the 1993 American Jersey Cattle Club
Master Breeder award; and
Whereas, he has been nationally and internationally recognized for his
tremendous ability and many accomplishments in breeding superior
Jersey cattle; and
Whereas, this year Dr. J. J. Malnati was inducted into the South Carolina
Dairy Hall of Fame at the annual meeting of the South Carolina Dairy
Association. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution,
commend and congratulate Dr. J. J. Malnati of Newberry for his
tremendous accomplishments in breeding superior Jersey cattle and on
his induction into the South Carolina Dairy Hall of Fame.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr.
Malnati.
