 OF DEDICATED SERVICE AND COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION, CONGRATULATE HER FOR MANY
 OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGHOUT HER DISTINGUISHED CAREER AS A TEACHER, AND
 EXTEND TO HER AND HER FAMILY EVERY GOOD WISH ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT
 FROM CHAPIN HIGH SCHOOL.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND LINDA BALDWIN OF CHAPIN FOR HER THIRTY-ONE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AND COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION, CONGRATULATE HER FOR MANY OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGHOUT HER DISTINGUISHED CAREER AS A TEACHER, AND EXTEND TO HER AND HER FAMILY EVERY GOOD WISH ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT FROM CHAPIN HIGH SCHOOL.

Whereas, Linda Baldwin received her B.A. degree from Columbia College, and a M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, Linda Baldwin is a dedicated teacher and professional educator who has thirty-one years in the field of education, twenty-eight of which were in Lexington County School District 5; and

Whereas, well respected by her students and peers, Linda Baldwin was Teacher of the Year at Irmo High School for school year 1978-79, and was also District Teacher of the Year for school year 1978-79; and

Whereas, active in professional associations and volunteer work, Linda Baldwin is a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, serving as Facilitator and Peer Review Chair. She is an Adult Sunday School Teacher at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Columbia, and has served as a volunteer at Lowman Home from 1995 to the present; and

Whereas, according to Linda Baldwin, the favorite and best part of her job is her students and working with fellow educators at Chapin High School. Her greatest contribution to Chapin High School and Lexington School District 5 is said to be helping to build the strongest and best staff in the State and a school climate of mutual respect and support. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend Linda Baldwin of Chapin for her thirty-one years of dedicated service and commitment to education, congratulate her for many outstanding achievements throughout her distinguished career as a teacher, and extend to her and her family every good wish on the occasion of her retirement from Chapin High School.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Linda Baldwin of Chapin.
