AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-465, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN RICHLAND COUNTY, SO AS TO ADD THE GREGG PARK PRECINCT AND TO STIPULATE THE DATE OF THE OFFICIAL MAP ON WHICH THE LINES OF THE PRECINCTS IN RICHLAND COUNTY ARE SHOWN.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-465 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 7-7-465. In Richland County there are the following voting precincts: Columbia Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34, Arcadia, Ardincaple, Ballentine, Barrier Free, Bluff, Blythewood, Brandon, Briarwood, College Place, Cooper, Dennyside, Dentsville, Eastover, Edgewood, Estates, Fairlawn, Fairwold, East Forest Acres, North Forest Acres, South Forest Acres, New Friarsgate, Old Friarsgate, Gadsden, Garners, Greenview, Gregg Park, Hampton, Harbison, Hopkins, Horrell Hill, Hunting Creek, Keels, Keenan, Killian, Kingswood, Lincolnshire, Lykesland, Meadowlakes, Midway, Mill Creek, Monticello, North Springs, Oakwood, Olympia, Pennington, Pine Lakes, Pinewood, Pontiac, Ridgewood, Riverside, Satchelford, St. Andrews, Springville, Spring Valley, Walden, Whitewell, Wildewood, Woodfield, Woodlands.

The precinct lines defining the above precincts in Richland County are as shown on the official map dated May 1, 1995, prepared by and on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board and as shown on certified copies of the official map provided to the State Election Commission and the Richland County Board of Voter Registration by the Division of Research and Statistical Services."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
