 A Joint Resolution to provide that certain school days missed by students of

A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN SCHOOL DAYS MISSED BY STUDENTS OF SPECIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY FOR SCHOOL YEAR 1995-96 WHEN THE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO WEATHER OR OTHER CONDITIONS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

School days forgiven

SECTION 1. The school days of school year 1995-96 missed on January 10, 11, and 12, 1996, by the students of all school districts in Spartanburg County due to weather conditions; on February 2, 1996, by the students of Spartanburg County School District 1 due to weather conditions; and on October 5, 1995, by the students of Spartanburg County School District 4 due to electrical failures are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
