A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO DIRECT THE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, DIVISION OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, TO UNDERTAKE A STUDY OF THE EMPLOYEES OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND REPORT ITS RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY NO LATER THAN JANUARY 18, 1994.

Amend Title To Conform

Whereas, the citizens of the State of South Carolina endure long lines whenever they conduct business with the Motor Vehicle Division of the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation; and

Whereas, the citizens of this State are often subjected to employees of this agency who do not have the patience, proper attitude, or compassion to deal with the public. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the Budget and Control Board, Division of Human Resource Management, shall conduct a study to determine the appropriate action that should be taken to correct this situation at the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation and report their findings back to the General Assembly no later than January 18, 1994.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Phyllis M. Mayes, Director, Division of Human Resource Management.
