A Concurrent Resolution to commend our good friend and distinguished
colleague, Maggie Wallace Glover of Florence County, for her contribution as a
member of the Legislative Black Caucus and wish her the best in her future
endeavors.

A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND OUR GOOD FRIEND AND DISTINGUISHED
COLLEAGUE, MAGGIE WALLACE GLOVER OF FLORENCE
COUNTY, FOR HER CONTRIBUTION AS A MEMBER OF THE
LEGISLATIVE BLACK CAUCUS AND WISH HER THE BEST IN
HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly have learned that our
good friend and colleague, Maggie Wallace Glover of Florence County,
has decided not to seek re-election from House District 62 in Florence
County; and
Whereas, Ms. Glover has served with distinction in the House since her
election in 1989; and
Whereas, she has been a dedicated member of the Legislative Black
Caucus and has demonstrated her dedication as Secretary to the Caucus;
and
Whereas, Representative Glover has been a hard-working member of the
Education and Public Works Committee; and
Whereas, she has served her community, the public and private sectors,
her peers, and her colleagues by her contributions on the many boards
and commissions on which she has served; and
Whereas, she is presently serving on the South Carolina State University
Board of Trustees; and
Whereas, the members of the Legislative Black Caucus will greatly miss
and wish to thank her for her friendship, wisdom, and leadership. Now,
therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly commend our good friend
and distinguished colleague, Maggie Wallace Glover of Florence
County, for her contribution as a member of the Legislative Black
Caucus and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Representative Glover.
