A Senate Resolution expressing the appreciation of the members of the Senate
to those Girl Scouts who served so efficiently and effectively as Pages in the
Senate during the week of March 8-12, 1993.
03/11/93 Senate Introduced and adopted SJ-12
A SENATE RESOLUTION
EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
SENATE TO THOSE GIRL SCOUTS WHO SERVED SO
EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY AS PAGES IN THE SENATE
DURING THE WEEK OF MARCH 8-12, 1993.
Whereas, the members of the Senate were pleased to note that eleven
outstanding Girl Scouts from across the State served as pages in the
Senate for the week of March 8-12, 1993; and
Whereas, they served with great energy and efficiency in performing the
tasks of pages, providing vital assistance to the work of the Senate
during that week, a week which because of spring holidays at the
University of South Carolina, would have otherwise left the Senate page
staff much reduced; and
Whereas, it is the hope of the Senate that the introduction they had to the
General Assembly as a whole, and to the Senate in particular, will pique
their interest in the process of government and the role of the people's
elected representatives in this democracy; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the Senate to pause in their
deliberations so that they might take a moment to express their
appreciation for the distinguished service of Cara Baumhardt, Kimberly
Grant, Lorraine Hertzog, Heather James, Tanika Jones, Mary Ashley
Latham, Tiffany Matthews, Holly Patterson, Amy Snyder, Katherine
Thomason, and Janet Wells. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate express their appreciation to those Girl
Scouts who served so efficiently and effectively as pages in the Senate
during the week of March 8-12, 1993.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to each
Girl Scout.
