 A SENATE RESOLUTION TO CONGRATULATE THE NORTH CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS
 SOFTBALL TEAM OF KERSHAW FOR WINNING THE CLASS A STATE GIRLS SOFTBALL
 CHAMPIONSHIP.

TO CONGRATULATE THE NORTH CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM OF KERSHAW FOR WINNING THE CLASS A STATE GIRLS SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the members of the Senate are very pleased to learn that the North Central High School Girls Softball Team of Kershaw recently won the Class A State Girls Softball Championship, marking the first time North Central has won a state championship in any sport; and

Whereas, North Central finished the year with an outstanding 25-4 won-loss record and counted among their team five all-region players, three all-state players, and the Class A, Region III, and Class A Player of the Year; and

Whereas, under the able leadership of Head Coach Mitch Lowder, Assistant Head Coach Todd Grimm, and three assistant coaches, the North Central girls have built a softball program that will be a force in their region and in the State for many years to come; and

Whereas, the accomplishments of the North Central girls this softball season, both on and off the field, have brought deserved credit and recognition to their school, district, and community; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate this truly outstanding group of young women upon the occasion of their winning this championship. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate hereby congratulate the North Central High School Girls Softball Team of Kershaw for winning the Class A State Girls Softball Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Dr. Agnes Slayman, Principal of North Central High School and Head Coach Mitch Lowder.
