Whereupon, the PRESIDENT announced that the Honorable Robert N. McLellen was duly elected to the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Tenth Judicial Circuit, for the term prescribed by law.

Fourteenth Judicial Circuit

The PRESIDENT announced that nominations were in order for the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Fourteenth Judicial Circuit.

Rep. Stoddard, Chairman of the Committee to Screen Candidates for Boards of Trustees of State Colleges and Universities, stated that Ms. Helen C. Harvey of Beaufort had been screened and found qualified.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the name of Ms. Helen C. Harvey was placed in nomination.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the nominations were closed and, with unanimous consent, the vote was taken by acclamation, resulting in the election of the nominee.

Whereupon, the PRESIDENT announced that the Honorable Helen C. Harvey was duly elected to the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, for the term prescribed by law.

Fifteenth Judicial Circuit

The PRESIDENT announced that nominations were in order for the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.

Rep. Stoddard, Chairman of the Committee to Screen Candidates for Boards of Trustees of State Colleges and Universities, stated that Mr. M. Wayne Staton of Conway had been screened and found qualified.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the name of Mr. M. Wayne Staton was placed in nomination.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the nominations were closed and, with unanimous consent, the vote was taken by acclamation, resulting in the election of the nominee.

Whereupon, the PRESIDENT announced that the Honorable M. Wayne Staton was duly elected to the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, for the term prescribed by law.

Sixteenth Judicial Circuit

The PRESIDENT announced that nominations were in order for the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Sixteenth Judicial Circuit.

Rep. Stoddard, Chairman of the Committee to Screen Candidates for Boards of Trustees of State Colleges and Universities, stated that Mr. Samuel R. Foster, II of Rock Hill had been screened and found qualified.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the name of Mr. Samuel R. Foster was placed in nomination.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the nominations were closed and, with unanimous consent, the vote was taken by acclamation, resulting in the election of the nominee.

Whereupon, the PRESIDENT announced that the Honorable Samuel R. Foster was duly elected to the Board of Trustees for the University of South Carolina, Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, for the term prescribed by law.

The PRESIDENT announced that nominations were in order for three positions on the Board of Trustees for the Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School, At-Large positions, for the terms prescribed by law.

Dr. Marvin Effron of Cayce, Ms. Wilhelmina McBride of Columbia, Ms. Mary F. "Frankie" Newman of West Columbia, Ms. Suzanne Turner Reynolds of Gaffney and Ms. Olive Wilson of Williamston had been screened and found qualified.

On motion of Rep. Stoddard, the names of Dr. Effron, Ms. McBride, Ms. Newman, Ms. Reynolds and Ms. Wilson were placed in nomination.
