TO AMEND CHAPTER 1, TITLE 10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND PROPERTY, BY ADDING SECTION 10-1-210 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NO MONEY SHALL BE PAID FROM PUBLIC FUNDS NOR SHALL ANY REAL OR PERSONAL PROPERTY OF THE STATE OR ANY OF ITS POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS BE USED FOR THE DIRECT BENEFIT OR TRAINING OF ANY PRIVATE MILITARY FORCE OR PRIVATE MILITIA ORGANIZATION THAT IS NOT ORGANIZED, INCORPORATED, OR SANCTIONED BY LAW.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Title 10 of the 1976 Code, is amended by adding:
"Section 10-1-210. No money shall be paid from public funds nor shall any real or personal property of the State or any of its political subdivisions be used for the direct benefit or training of any private military force or private militia organization that is not organized, incorporated, or sanctioned by law."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval of the Governor.
