EXPRESSING THE DESIRE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA THAT PHOTOGRAPHS OF MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY PUBLISHED IN THE SOUTH CAROLINA LEGISLATIVE MANUAL BE UPDATED ANNUALLY, AND INSTRUCTING THE RESPECTIVE CLERKS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE TO IMPLEMENT THE ABOVE.
Whereas, the General Assembly of South Carolina causes to be published annually a South Carolina Legislative Manual; and
Whereas, the Legislative Manual is a highly regarded and keenly sought repository of facts and figures about the State of South Carolina; and
Whereas, included in the information provided is biographical data about each lawmaker, accompanied by a photograph of the lawmaker; and
Whereas, citizens of this State and others rely on the contents of the Legislative Manual for completeness and for accuracy; and
Whereas, this valuable research tool and informational resource necessarily must maintain the highest level of reliability. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly do hereby express their desire that photographs of members of the General Assembly published in the South Carolina Legislative Manual be updated annually, and instruct the respective Clerks of the South Carolina House of Representatives and the South Carolina Senate to implement the above.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Clerk of the Senate.
