CONGRATULATING MR. ED PAUL OF CLARENDON COUNTY ON WINNING THE PRESTIGIOUS JUNIOR WORLD'S CHAMPIONSHIP DUCK-CALLING CONTEST.
Whereas, thirteen-year-old Ed Paul, who resides in the Town of Summerton in Clarendon County, won the prestigious Junior World's Championship Duck-Calling Contest held in Stuttgart, Arkansas, on November 26, 1999; and
Whereas, he won this competition after beating fourteen of the best young duck callers from around the country; and
Whereas, this contest was only the fourth competition that Ed has entered; and
Whereas, he has won each of these competitions, which include: the Junior Title at Easton, Maryland's Mason-Dixon Regional Duck-Calling Contest; an event sponsored by the Waterfowl Association; and a contest held in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; and
Whereas, Ed is a well-rounded Manning Middle School student who also enjoys playing football, basketball, and baseball, who wants to pursue a career in waterfowl management, and whose ultimate goal is winning the adult world duck-calling championship; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are pleased to have this opportunity to congratulate Ed Paul for his achievements. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives extend their congratulations to Mr. Ed Paul of Clarendon County on winning the prestigious Junior World Championship Duck-Calling Contest.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Ed Paul.
