Whereas, "Vets for Freedom" was established by veterans of the War on Terror in Afghanistan and Iraq to be the leading voice representing our troops and veterans; and
Whereas, Vets for Freedom works to support the troops and their mission in Afghanistan and Iraq by ensuring that the American public knows of the hard work and sacrifice which our troops have made on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan; and
Whereas, Vets for Freedom's national bus tour is traveling across the country in order to publicize the stories of highly decorated soldiers and generate public support for the troops and their mission; and
Whereas, Vets for Freedom's national bus tour will stop in Columbia, South Carolina, on April 3, 2008; and
Whereas, South Carolinians take pride in having more military veterans than almost any other state in the nation and being one of the most patriotic states in the nation; and
Whereas, the State of South Carolina recognizes and acknowledges the efforts of Vets for Freedom for providing the boots on the grounds presence in America to ensure that our troops and their mission are fully supported by ensuring victory and not defeat. Now, therefore,
