TO CONGRATULATE DAVID GUTSHALL, HEAD FOOTBALL COACH FOR THE DORMAN HIGH SCHOOL CAVALIERS IN SPARTANBURG, FOR A RECORD 300TH CAREER VICTORY.
Whereas, Coach David Gutshall, Head Football Coach at Dorman High School, recently celebrated his 300th coaching victory in October 2009 during his 17th season with the Cavaliers; and
Whereas, the Cavaliers are currently ranked third in the class AAAA state sportswriter's poll; and
Whereas, Coach Gutshall has received many recognitions in his career, including being named Region Coach of the year twelve times, 5th All-Time Winningest S.C. Prep Football Coach, 2nd Winningest Active S.C. Coach, and the 2008 S.C. High School Football Coach of the Year from the S.C. Football Coaches Association; and
Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the Senate to pause in their deliberations to recognize the career of this fine and outstanding South Carolinian. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, congratulate David Gutshall, Head Football Coach for the Dorman High School Cavaliers in Spartanburg, for a record 300th win.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coach Dave Gutshall.
