TO CONVEY TO BEAUFORT COUNTY STANDING TO BRING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST A COUNTY WHOSE GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES ARE CONTIGUOUS TO BEAUFORT'S WHEN A CONTIGUOUS COUNTY'S TRAFFIC CONGESTION OR STORMWATER RUNOFF ADVERSELY AFFECTS THE CITIZENS OF BEAUFORT COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Beaufort County is granted standing to bring legal action against a county whose geographic boundaries are contiguous to Beaufort's when a contiguous county's traffic congestion or stormwater runoff adversely affects the citizens of Beaufort County.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
