VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE STEPHANIE HAECHERL FOR BEING NAMED THE 2018 CHARLESTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TEACHER OF THE YEAR AND TO COMMEND HER MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CHILDREN OF THIS STATE.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Stephanie Haecherl for being named the 2018 Charleston County School District Teacher of the Year on April 25, 2018; and
Whereas, Stephanie Haecherl received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations from Mars Hill College and her Master of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College. She is a National Board Certified teacher and remains committed to being a lifelong learner and leader, with a current focus on grant writing and STEAM initiatives; and
Whereas, with ten years of experience in education, Haecherl is currently a second grade teacher at Mamie P. Whitesides Elementary School. Most deserving of her nomination as Teacher of the Year, she has poured her heart and soul into education, getting to know the students not only in her classroom, but also in the grade level and throughout the school; and
Whereas, as Teacher of the Year, Haecherl will help lead the Charleston County School District Teacher of the Year Roundtable during the 2018-2019 school year. She will also receive a one-year lease to drive a MINI Cooper; and
Whereas, in recognition of her outstanding achievement, Haecherl will be the featured guest at the Charleston RiverDogs' Educators' Night on May 4, 2018. Before the baseball game, she will take a ride in her MINI Cooper and toss the ceremonial first pitch; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are grateful for the passion and dedication that Stephanie Haecherl has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Stephanie Haecherl for being named the 2018 Charleston County School District Teacher of the Year and commend her many years of dedicated public service to the children of this State.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Stephanie Haecherl.
