A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CELEBRATE THE JOYOUS OCCASION OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION HILL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH AND TO CONGRATULATE AND COMMEND THE PASTOR AND CONGREGATION FOR THEIR YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE PAGELAND COMMUNITY.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Chesterfield celebrated its one hundredth anniversary on January 26, 2018; and

Whereas, established on January 26, 1918, Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church has spent a century spreading the Lord's Word throughout Pageland and impacting many lives in the process; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina commend the pastor and the congregation for continuing a worthy tradition of praising God and wish them many more years of peaceful worship. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of South Carolina, by this resolution, celebrate the joyous occasion of the one hundredth anniversary of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church and congratulate and commend the pastor and congregation for their years of dedicated service to the Pageland community.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
