A house RESOLUTION

 

to recognize and honor Clemson University freshman baseball star Cameron Glover "Cam" Cannarella for his flourishing career in baseball and to congratulate him for his performance in the three-game series over the University of South Carolina.

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to commend Cam Cannarella for his outstanding performance in his freshman year on the Clemson University baseball team; and

 

Whereas, born in Lexington on September 6, 2003, Cam gradated from Hartsville High School where he lettered in baseball, and he was named both the Class AAAA Player of the Year and Co-Player of the Year all Divisions by the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) in 2021; and

 

Whereas, he was honored with All-State selection by the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association and was the 2022 SCHSL Class AAAA Player of the Year; and

 

Whereas, in Clemson's three-game series against the University of South Carolina in 2023, Cam Cannarella went 6 for 13 with three doubles and received the Bob Bradley Award for his performance in the series; and

 

Whereas, he was honored as the 2023 ACC Freshman of the Year, and was named to the 2023 First Team All ACC and the 2023 Freshman All American by Collegiate Baseball newspaper; and

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives values the pride and recognition that Cam Cannarella has brought to Clemson University and to the Palmetto State, and the members look forward to following his continued baseball achievements in the days ahead.  Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Clemson University freshman baseball star Cameron Glover "Cam" Cannarella for his flourishing career in baseball and congratulate him for his performance in the three-game series over the University of South Carolina.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Cameron Glover "Cam" Cannarella.
