A bill

 

TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY AMENDING SECTION 59-112-50, RELATING TO TUITION RATES FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND THEIR DEPENDENTS, SO AS TO INCLUDE CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OR THE RESERVES OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES UNITS IN THIS STATE.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

 

SECTION 1.  Section 59-112-50(B)(2) of the S.C. Code is amended to read:

 

    (2) For purposes of this section, "active duty military personnel" includes, but is not limited to, active duty guardsmen, and active duty reservists, and members of the National Guard or the Reserves of the Armed Forces of the United States who are not residents of this State but who are active members of a unit of the National Guard or the Reserves of the Armed Forces of the United States in this State.

 

SECTION 2.  This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
