A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE MR. CRAIG MUSICK, OF AIKEN, AS HE LEAVES HIS POSITION ON THE AIKEN TECHNICAL EDUCATION COMMISSION AND TO THANK HIM FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE ON THE COMMISSION.

Whereas, Mr. Craig Musick, of Aiken, has served on the Aiken Technical Education Commission for twenty-three years; and

Whereas, he was Chairman of the Aiken Technical Education Commission since 1972 with the exception of one year when he had important out of state service; and

Whereas, for nineteen out of the twenty years the Aiken Technical College has been in existence, he has been chairman. During that time he oversaw the building of the original campus and subsequent additions to the campus; and

Whereas, Mr. Musick was the chief policymaker from the Aiken Technical College's inception and the first twelve years when the college had a student body of one thousand. During the past seven years, the student body has grown to two thousand, two hundred plus with another one thousand, five hundred in various training and educational classes; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate wish Mr. Musick well in his future endeavors. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate recognize Mr. Craig Musick, of Aiken, as he leaves his position on the Aiken Technical Education Commission and thank him for his years of service on the Commission.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Musick.
