A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING LILLIE EDENS HERNDON OF COLUMBIA UPON BEING HONORED WITH THE THIRTY-THIRD ANNUAL "SERVICE TO MANKIND" AWARD BY THE RICHLAND SERTOMA CLUB AND THE WADE HAMPTON DISTRICT OF SERTOMA INTERNATIONAL.

Whereas, Lillie Edens Herndon of Columbia has been presented the thirty-third annual "Service To Mankind" award by the Richland Sertoma Club and the Wade Hampton District of Sertoma International; and

Whereas, Mrs. Herndon has given greatly of her time, talent, and energy over the years in many areas, especially education and public service, and she is a highly regarded and much admired individual; and

Whereas, her receipt of Sertoma's "Service To Mankind" award is a very high honor which is greatly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Lillie Edens Herndon of Columbia upon being honored with the thirty-third annual "Service To Mankind" award by the Richland Sertoma Club and the Wade Hampton District of Sertoma International.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Herndon.
