A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF THE LATE TONEY GRAHAM, SR. OF WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were saddened to note that Toney Graham, Sr., son of the late David Graham, died on May 4, 1992; and

Whereas, Mr. Graham, a Williamsburg County native, was a prominent farmer and landscaper and a long time member of Mt. Beulah Methodist Church; and

Whereas, Mr. Graham married Candice Fulmer, also of Williamsburg County, and together they raised seven sons: Cleo, William, Kirkland, Lavern, Larue, Toney, Jr., and Albert L.; and also five adopted children: Albert, Martin, Pearl, Lou, and Mabel; and

Whereas, Mr. Graham took particular pride and delight in his family and passed on to these devoted children his commitment to hard work and dedication to his community; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations so that they might note the passing of so distinguished a son of Williamburg County and South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express their sympathy to the family and many friends of the late Toney Graham, Sr., of Williamsburg County.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Candice Fulmer Graham.
