A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 8-13-622 SO AS TO REQUIRE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO REPORT IN THE MANNER THAT CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS ARE REPORTED THE RECEIPT OF ANYTHING OF VALUE, INCLUDING THE EXACT AMOUNT OF CASH, OBTAINED FROM A REGISTERED LOBBYIST IN A GAME OF SKILL OR CHANCE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Article 9, Chapter 13, Title 8 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 8-13-622. A member of the General Assembly shall disclose anything of value, including the exact amount of cash, obtained from a registered lobbyist in a game of skill or chance in the same manner that campaign contributions are disclosed pursuant to Sections 8-13-620 and 8-13-630."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 1991.
