A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF MARY LIGHTSEY HALL OF ANDERSON COUNTY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mary Lightsey Hall of Anderson County died on April 24, 1992, at the age of ninety; and

Whereas, her late husband was Wilton E. Hall, a former senator and long-time publisher of the Anderson Independent and Daily Mail; and

Whereas, she was steeped in the traditions of Southern hospitality and had a special care and concern for the people of Anderson County; and

Whereas, she was a unique entertainer and hostess and was devoted to many civic causes throughout her life; and

Whereas, we want the members of her family and many friends to know that they are in out thoughts and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mary Lightsey Hall of Anderson County and extend sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Hall's family.
