A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING CHRIS BARRETT OF BOILING SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY UPON RECEIVING ONE OF THE NATIONAL BETA CLUB'S TOP FOUR SCHOLARSHIPS.

Whereas, Chris Barrett, a senior at Boiling Springs High School in Spartanburg County, is one of the top high school students in the nation; and

Whereas, it was recently announced that he will receive one of the National Beta Club's top four scholarships; and

Whereas, these scholarships range from four thousand dollars to ten thousand dollars each to be divided among the student's four years in college; and

Whereas, this is an exceptionally high honor for a South Carolina high school student; and

Whereas, Chris is not only an excellent student but an outstanding, well-rounded person who cares deeply about other people and contributes his time and talents toward helping others; and

Whereas, with high school students like Chris Barrett making their mark in their communities and in the classroom South Carolina's future is indeed bright. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Chris Barrett of Boiling Springs High School in Spartanburg County upon receiving one of the National Beta Club's top four scholarships.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Chris Barrett.
