A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE MR. AND MRS. JOSEPH C. WOODARD OF RICHLAND COUNTY FOR HAVING MAINTAINED IN THEIR FAMILY A FARM SINCE 1885.

Whereas, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Woodard of Richland County are presently the owners of a farm which was originally purchased in 1885 by their relatives, Joseph Sherman Collins and Rhinah H. Collins; and

Whereas, this farm has produced cotton, corn, swine, a gin house, a sawmill, and a general farm supply store during its operation since 1885; and

Whereas, Mr. Woodard is a retired school administrator and is still operating this farm producing poultry for Gold Kist, Inc. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly commend and congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Woodard of Richland County for having maintained in their family a farm since 1885.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Woodard.
