A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF MRS. ZORA ANDERSON BUTLER WHO DIED MAY 19, 1992, IN WINSTON SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA.

Whereas, Mrs. Zora Anderson Butler died May 19, 1992, in Winston Salem, North Carolina; and

Whereas, Mrs. Butler was born February 19, 1908, in Anderson County; and

Whereas, she was married to the late Eugene Butler and was the daughter of the late Janie McDowell and the late Elijah Anderson; and

Whereas, survivors include her niece, Zora Raford; sisters, Pornesia Carter, Helen Rice, and Velma Rochester of Anderson and Edith Sadler of Columbia; and brothers, Lenard McDowell of Spartanburg and Willie Matthew McDowell, Wardell McDowell, L. M. McDowell, and McLester McDowell of Anderson; and

Whereas, Mrs. Butler was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and President of the Missionary Society. She was a member and served as Mistleto to Chapter on 74 of Eastern Star. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express their deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Mrs. Zora Anderson Butler who died May 19, 1992, in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Mrs. Butler.
