A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE HERMAN CLARENCE TONEY OF OCONEE COUNTY FOR HIS THIRTY-THREE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE OCONEE SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR HAPPINESS UPON HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, Herman Clarence Toney of Oconee County, husband of Edith Stephens Toney, is retiring from Oconee Savings and Loan Association; and

Whereas, Mr. Toney has given thirty-three years of outstanding service to the Oconee Savings and Loan Association; and

Whereas, he was the Assistant Secretary and Assistant Branch Manager of the Walhalla Office of the Oconee Savings and Loan Association from 1958 to 1972; and

Whereas, he was Vice-President and Branch Manager of the Oconee Savings and Loan Association in Westminster from 1972 until his retirement; and

Whereas, Mr. Toney has been a loyal and dedicated member of the Oconee Savings and Loan Association family; and

Whereas, he is well-respected and liked by his Oconee Savings and Loan Association customers and the upstate banking community and will be missed in his position; and

Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize Mr. Toney's many years of fine service to the Oconee Savings and Loan Association. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina recognize Herman Clarence Toney for his thirty-three years of dedicated service to the Oconee Savings and Loan Association and extend best wishes for happiness to Mr. Toney and his wife upon his retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Toney, 407 South Church Street, Walhalla, South Carolina 29691.
