TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 44-6-75 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENTS MAY NOT BE LESS THAN THE SOUTHEASTERN AVERAGE OF SUCH REIMBURSEMENTS ACCORDING TO A FORMULA PROMULGATED IN REGULATION BY THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMISSION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 44-6-75. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, Medicaid reimbursements may not be less than the southeastern average for such reimbursements pursuant to a formula promulgated in regulation by the Health and Human Services Finance Commission."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
