CONGRATULATING THE YELLOW JACKETS FOOTBALL TEAM OF FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL IN YORK COUNTY ON WINNING THE 1993 REGION 4, CLASS AAA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Whereas, the Yellow Jackets football team of Fort Mill High School in York County won the 1993 Region 4, Class AAA football championship on Friday, October 29, 1993, with a 27-7 victory over Dutch Fork High School; and
Whereas, the 1993 title was the second regional crown in a row for the Yellow Jackets; and
Whereas, Fort Mill High, directed by Head Coach Steve Boyd, was successful in 1993 because of the players' outstanding talent, dedication, hard work, and unity; and
Whereas, it gives the General Assembly great pleasure to recognize this group of fine student-athletes and to congratulate them on their regional championship. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Yellow Jackets football team of Fort Mill High School in York County on winning the 1993 Region 4, Class AAA football championship.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Fort Mill High School football squad, in care of Head Coach Steve Boyd.
