A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

COMMENDING MR. JOSEPH E. SUMMEROUR, JR., FOR HIS COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION.

Whereas, Mr. Joseph E. Summerour, Jr., has worked tirelessly as a member of the Board of Trustees of Sumter County School District Two, having served in this capacity for six years; and

Whereas, throughout his tenure, he was recognized as a competent and concerned leader whose major concern was the welfare of the students; and

Whereas, most recently he has donated a priceless gift, his personal time and expertise, to assist the school district in finding the best possible sites for locating two new schools; and

Whereas, his efforts have been successful in that Sumter County School District Two will be able to purchase two quality sites at the lowest possible cost; and

Whereas, his efforts and contributions are a tribute to him, his family, his business, the school district, and the State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Mr. Joseph E. Summerour, Jr., for his commitment to excellence in education.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Summerour.
