A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MRS. ELIZABETH D. MILLER FOR HER OUTSTANDING EFFORTS IN SERVING THE STUDENTS OF THE COMMUNITIES OF RAFTING CREEK, REMBERT, AND HORATIO FOR OVER FORTY-FOUR YEARS.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are aware of the wonderful work Mrs. Elizabeth D. Miller has done serving the students of the communities of Rafting Creek, Rembert, and Horatio for over forty-four years; and

Whereas, to many of her students, Mrs. Miller provided career counseling and, in many cases, served as a surrogate mother. She has done many worthwhile things to enhance both the education and educational opportunities of the youth of these and other communities; and

Whereas, she was particularly instrumental in providing key leadership in the creation of the Headstart program where she coordinated all aspects of the construction of the building that currently houses the Headstart program; and

Whereas, Mrs. Miller's accomplishments and efforts demonstrate character, leadership, and a deep concern for the well-being of all in the community; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and commend this truly lovely lady for her wonderful efforts in serving so many of the young people of her home county and state. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives hereby commend Mrs. Elizabeth D. Miller for her outstanding efforts in serving the students of the communities of Rafting Creek, Rembert, and Horatio for over forty-four years.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Elizabeth D. Miller.
