TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF PODIATRY EXAMINERS, RELATING TO LICENSE AND FEES TO PRACTICE PODIATRY, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1525, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Board of Podiatry Examiners, relating to License and Fees to Practice Podiatry, designated as Regulation Document Number 1525, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
134-10(3). License to Practice Podiatry.
The proposed amendment will serve to change from sixty (60) days to ninety (90) days the time period when a completed application must be submitted to the board for review prior to the date of examination. The purpose of the amendment is to allow the board sufficient time to review and verify the information submitted in the application package.
134-20. Fees to Practice Podiatry.
The proposed amendment will increase the license renewal fee, as addressed in 134-20(1), from sixty ($60) dollars to one hundred ($100) dollars; the late license renewal fee, as addressed in 134-20(2), from seventy-five ($75) dollars to two hundred ($200) dollars; and the license reinstatement fee, as addressed in 134-20(3), to include, in addition to the seventy-five ($75) dollar reinstatement fee, a five ($5) dollar per day penalty which is to be assessed starting three (3) months from the date of notification by the secretary that such fee is due.
