Senate Bill 847 amends Section 1-11-720(A) of the South Carolina Code of Laws, 1976, so as to allow employees, retirees and their eligible dependents of public service districts that provide gas, water, sewer, fire or sanitation services to be eligible for coverage under the state health and dental insurance plans.
Assuming the employers of the public service districts are the public service governing boards, the premium cost would accrue to the respective boards.
Costs to the system are based on claims and cannot be determined.
