A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO CREATE A STUDY COMMITTEE TO EXAMINE STATE LAW RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS IN MINIBOTTLES AND TO EXAMINE AMENDMENTS TO STATE LAW PERTAINING TO ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR BY THE DRINK.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. A study committee is created to examine state law relating to the requirements for the transportation, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquors in minibottles and to examine amendments to state law pertaining to alcoholic liquor by the drink.

SECTION 2. The committee consists of five members as follows:

(1) one member of the Senate Judiciary Committee appointed by the chairman of the committee;

(2) one member of the House Judiciary Committee appointed by the chairman of the committee;

(3) one member of the Senate Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee appointed by the chairman of the committee;

(4) one member of the House Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee appointed by the chairman of the committee;

(5) one member appointed by the Governor.

SECTION 3. The study committee shall report its findings to the General Assembly no later than February 1, 1996, and terminates when the report is made.

SECTION 4. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
