STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED FISCAL IMPACT

House Bill 3874 amends Section 44-6-50 of the South Carolina Code of Laws, 1976, relating to the State Health and Human Services Finance Commission entering into contracts with other agencies, so as to expand with whom the commission may contract for eligibility.

The State Health and Human Services Finance Commission anticipates no fiscal impact due to the passage of this bill.

A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 44-6-50, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMISSION ENTERING INTO CONTRACTS WITH OTHER AGENCIES, SO AS TO EXPAND WITH WHOM THE COMMISSION MAY CONTRACT FOR ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATIONS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 44-6-50(1) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(1) Contract with for health and human services agencies for eligibility determination with performance standards regarding quality control as required by law or regulation."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
