A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF MR. WILLIAM MARTIN CHAPMAN, JR., OF ANDERSON AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Mr. William Martin Chapman, Jr., of Anderson died on March 1, 1996, at the age of sixty-five; and

Whereas, he was retired from the United States Navy following twenty-one years of service; and

Whereas, Mr. Chapman was a former State Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Post Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Number 5996; and

Whereas, he was the owner of Chapadco Printing Company; and

Whereas, Mr. Chapman was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church; and

Whereas, we want his family and many friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Mr. William Martin Chapman, Jr., of Anderson and extend sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Chapman's family.
