A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE HONORABLE JAMES R. BRASWELL, MAGISTRATE OF THE COUNTY OF LAURENS, FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO LAURENS COUNTY AND THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA UPON HIS RETIREMENT.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly have learned with regret that the Honorable James R. Braswell is retiring as a Magistrate of Laurens County; and

Whereas, Judge Braswell has served with distinction in this capacity for many years and throughout his tenure has earned the respect of lawyers, litigants, defendants, and others who have appeared in his court; and

Whereas, it is not always easy to make difficult decisions which affect the lives or property of individuals, but Judge Braswell consistently discharged his duties with unquestioned fairness but also with a sense of compassion; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and commend Judge James R. Braswell on the occasion of his retirement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
