A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-27, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PROHIBITING HUNTING OF MIGRATORY WATERFOWL ON PORTIONS OF LAKE MURRAY WITHIN TWO HUNDRED YARDS OF A DWELLING WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION, SO AS TO ALSO PROHIBIT SUCH HUNTING ON LAKE WATEREE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 50-11-27 of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 93 of 1995, is amended to read:

"Section 50-11-27. (A) It is unlawful to hunt migratory waterfowl on Lake Murray within two hundred yards of a dwelling without written permission of the owner and occupant on.:

(1) Lake Murray; as used in this section item, Lake Murray includes the area from Lake Murray Dam to one-half mile upstream of Harmon's Bridge on Secondary Road 41-44 and upstream to Kempson's Ferry Bridge on Highway 395.;

(2) Lake Wateree.

(B) A person who violates this section subsection (A) is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be fined not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than thirty days."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
