CONGRATULATING MS. GAYLE P. WERTS ON HER RETIREMENT AS TREASURER OF SALUDA COUNTY.
Whereas, Gayle P. Werts became a Saluda County employee in October, 1965 and was first elected to the office of treasurer of Saluda County on June 1, 1971; and
Whereas, she has held the position of county treasurer for twenty-six years and is highly regarded for the efficiency, hard work, and professionalism in her office; and
Whereas, Ms. Werts, who is retiring from office in June, 1997 has been an outstanding and dedicated public servant and is respected and admired by all who know her; and
Whereas, we are pleased to have this opportunity to accord her this special recognition. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Ms. Gayle P. Werts on her retirement as Treasurer of Saluda County.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Werts.
