A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE PATRIOTS BASEBALL TEAM OF WARDLAW ACADEMY OF EDGEFIELD COUNTY ON WINNING THE SCISAA CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1997.

Whereas, the baseball team of Wardlaw Academy of Edgefield County has won the SCISAA Class A State Championship for 1997; and

Whereas, Patriots of Wardlaw won the title by defeating Bowman Academy of Bowman 15-5; and

Whereas, the Wardlaw boys were coached in 1997 by Joey Bachelor; and

Whereas, the team members were dedicated, united, and hardworking; these qualities, as well as their talent, propelled them to an outstanding season and the state crown. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulates the Patriots Baseball Team of Wardlaw Academy of Edgefield County on winning the SCISAA Class A State Championship for 1997.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Patriots Baseball Team of Wardlaw Academy, in care of Coach Joey Bachelor.
