CONGRATULATING MS. MARGIE PLUNKETT ON HER RETIREMENT AS TREASURER OF AIKEN COUNTY.
Whereas, after many years of total dedication to the citizens of Aiken County, Margie Plunkett will retire in 1997 as Treasurer of Aiken County and will pursue a much deserved retirement; and
Whereas, Ms. Plunkett's first term began July 1, 1977, and she was reelected for a total of five consecutive terms of office; and
Whereas, she is the current President of SCATT (South Carolina Association of Auditors, Treasurers, and Tax Collectors); and
Whereas, she is a true professional and has been an outstanding public servant; she has won the respect and admiration of all who know her and is highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Ms. Margie Plunkett on her retirement as Treasurer of Aiken County.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Plunkett.
