TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY MISSED ON JANUARY 25, 2000, BY THE STUDENTS OF DORCHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT 2 FOR SCHOOL YEAR 1999-2000 WHEN SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO SNOW IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES ARE TO BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The school day missed on January 25, 2000, by the students of Dorchester School District 2 for school year 1999-2000 when schools were closed due to snow is exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances are to be made up.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
